As a young actor, Shi Yu is a perfect example of the fusion of rules and freedom throughout his career, presenting a captivating aesthetic of contrast that perfectly aligns with Hublot's "Art of Fusion". Growing up in a background where sports and culture blended harmoniously, he always follows the rule of “Being First”. With his outstanding athletic talent and passion for sports, Shi Yu has achieved numerous milestones: Second-Grade National Basketball Player, certified rider of the Chinese Equestrian Association, and qualified Open Water Diver. He also excels in sports such as boxing, archery, and shooting.
In 2018, he auditioned for the mythological trilogy epic Creation of the Gods. Upon the film's release in 2023, Shi Yu rose to prominence for his portrayal of Ji Fa, receiving widespread acclaim for his exceptional acting skills and distinctive performing style. This began an illustrious journey that seamlessly blended sports and performing arts while preparing for the epic fantasy film. Shi Yu dedicated over 12 hours daily to high-intensity performances, traditional cultural activities, and sports skill training. He mastered each of them, integrating order and rules in performing into his daily life. For him, art and order are inseparable companions.
In addition to performing, Shi Yu exhibits his unique style of music. He sees music as a stage of infinite freedom, where he can freely unleash his personality and express himself. In December 2023, Shi Yu began exploring further new facets of himself, unveiling his solo single Pipe Dream. His fearless exploration and boundary-breaking spirit align closely with Hublot's brand passion and values.
